Ordering & Shopping
How do I know which shoes are right for me?
Every foot is different. We recommend considering your foot shape, the purpose of the shoe, your usual size and any specific comfort or support requirements. Product descriptions provide information about fit and features, and if you're unsure, our team is happy to help.
Do you provide podiatry advice about your footwear?
Yes. Arch and Sole Footwear is proudly associated with Active Foot Clinic Podiatry, meaning our footwear range is selected with podiatry experience and knowledge of foot health in mind. If you need further advice about footwear and what would best suit your feet, then contact a podiatrist.
Are your shoes suitable for orthotics?
Many of our shoes are suitable for orthotics, but this varies between styles. LIf you're unsure whether a particular shoe will accommodate your orthotics, contact our team before ordering.
Sizing & Fit
What if I'm between sizes?
Some shoe brands will offer half sizes ,this depends on the individual brand and style. If you're between sizes or unsure, contact us before ordering and we'll do our best to help you select the most appropriate size.
What if the shoes don't fit?
That's okay. If your shoes aren't the right size or fit, you may be able to return or exchange them, provided they meet the conditions outlined in our Returns & Exchanges Policy.
Can I try the shoes on after receiving them?
Yes, but please try them on indoors and on a clean, carpeted or otherwise protected surface. Shoes must remain in their original condition if you wish to return or exchange them. Please don't wear them outside until you're confident they're the right fit.
Shipping & Delivery
Where do you ship?
We currently ship orders within Australia.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are generally dispatched as soon as possible after payment is received. Delivery times vary depending on your location and the courier service used. Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive tracking information where available.
What happens if my order is delayed?
While we work with reliable delivery providers, delays can occasionally occur due to circumstances outside our control. If your order appears to be significantly delayed, please contact us and we'll assist you in tracking it down.
What happens if my parcel arrives damaged?
Please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the packaging and the shoes. We'll assess the issue and work with you to resolve it.
Returns & Exchanges
Can I return my shoes if I change my mind?
Yes, subject to the conditions outlined in our Returns & Exchanges Policy. Items generally need to be unworn, in their original condition and returned with the original packaging.
Can I exchange my shoes for another size?
Yes, provided the shoes meet our exchange conditions and the requested size is available.
What if my shoes are faulty?
If you believe your footwear has a fault, please contact us as soon as possible. Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with rights in relation to products that are faulty, not fit for purpose or don't match their description. These rights apply regardless of our change-of-mind returns policy.
Do I have Australian Consumer Law rights when I shop with you?
Yes. Nothing in our returns policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). If a product doesn't meet the consumer guarantees that apply to it, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances.
Who pays for return shipping?
Return shipping arrangements depend on the reason for the return. For change-of-mind returns or exchanges, return postage may be the customer's responsibility. Where an item is faulty or otherwise covered by Australian Consumer Law, we will assess the circumstances and arrange an appropriate remedy.
Can I return sale items?
Sale items can generally be returned or exchanged in accordance with our returns policy. However, Australian Consumer Law rights still apply to sale items. Please note that items marked as final sale may have specific conditions, which will be clearly communicated at the time of purchase.
Payments & Orders
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Available payment options may change from time to time.
Can I cancel my order?
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your request if the order has not already been processed or dispatched.
Can I change my delivery address after placing an order?
Please contact us immediately if you've entered the wrong delivery address. We may be able to update it if your order hasn't yet been dispatched, but we cannot guarantee that changes can be made after an order has been processed.
What happens if an item I ordered is out of stock?
We aim to keep our online inventory accurate, but occasionally an item may become unavailable due to stock discrepancies. If this happens, we'll contact you and discuss the available options.
Footwear Care
How should I look after my new shoes?
Care instructions vary depending on the material and brand. We recommend following the manufacturer's care instructions and avoiding unnecessary exposure to excessive water, heat or harsh chemicals.
Can I wash my shoes in the washing machine?
Unless the manufacturer specifically states that the shoes are machine washable, we recommend cleaning them according to the manufacturer's care instructions rather than putting them in a washing machine.
Podiatry & Foot Health
Do I need to see a podiatrist before buying footwear?
Not necessarily. However, if you're experiencing persistent foot pain, have a significant foot condition, require orthotics or have difficulty finding comfortable footwear, an individual assessment with a podiatrist may be beneficial.
Can the right shoes fix my foot pain?
The right footwear can play an important role in comfort and managing some foot-related problems, but footwear isn't a treatment for every condition. Persistent or unexplained foot pain should be assessed by a podiatrist.
Can I buy shoes for someone else?
Absolutely. If you're purchasing footwear as a gift, we recommend confirming their usual brand, size and preferred fit where possible. If you're unsure, a gift card may be a better option.
